Equip yourself with the great and powerful weapon of knowledge.

Architecture is more than just the finished product. It is about learning, expanding knowledge, and gaining experience.

As architects, every day we are presented with new and challenging problems. It is our responsibility to solve these challenges in order to allow our clients to have the best possible design that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.

“It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.” – John Wooden

Absorbing as much knowledge as you can throughout the course of your career, regardless of what stage of your career you are in, makes you a better architect.

The Best Treasure to Acquire

As the legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden said, “It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.” Whether you are still in college working on your thesis, working toward licensure, or an architect with 20 years’ experience, you never stop learning and never stop being energized by a new challenge to solve.

Absorbing as much knowledge as you can throughout the course of your career, regardless of what stage of your career you are in, makes you a better architect.

It makes no difference if you learn better in a classroom setting, at the office, or in the field working with the trades who are building what you have drawn and put on paper; you never stop learning and you never stop facing new and exciting challenges as an architect.

These design challenges, and our desire to find new and unique solutions that expand our knowledge base, are what make being an architect so rewarding and fulfilling.

As we celebrate Architecture Week, we are not just celebrating all of those who contribute to the built environment as architects, but we recognize all of those who help us become better architects by expanding our knowledge base on a daily basis.
